We sure do! The advantage of our private tours is that they start on your schedule. Choose a tour and then click “Make it private” on the same page you’re choosing a date/time.
Each tour has a different starting location that is outlined in your confirmation email. If we have your contact information we’ll provide additional information closer to the date of your tour. If you’re ever in doubt, please contact us for additional information.
We provide refunds if you cancel up to 48 hours in advance. If you need to cancel after that we will work with you to reschedule if possible. If we need to cancel, we will reschedule you or provide a full refund.
Never fear! If you contact us prior to the scheduled tour start time, letting us know you’re running late, we can instruct you on where to catch up. For the sake of the other guests, we can only allow you to meet up if you are a maximum of 15 minutes late to the tour. Otherwise, there are no refunds for missed tours. We encourage all our guests to review the meeting location and tour information well in advance and plan to arrive 10 minutes early so we can start on time.
San Diego has world famous good weather, but sometimes you’ll want to bring items to make you comfortable. If it is hot, we recommend a hat and sunscreen. If it’s cool, layers are what most locals plan on. All tours include significant walking over varied terrain so we recommend comfortable shoes. And we also suggest bringing water in a reusable container.
Our tours go rain or shine. The exception would be in extreme weather – especially a mix of wind and rain. If we need to cancel we will contact you as soon as we can and will work with you to reschedule or provide a refund.
We love pups as much as the next person, but unless the pup is a service dog, we cannot allow dogs (or other animals) on our tours.
Most tours are wheelchair accessible. The exception is Old Town as it includes a hike up a hill.
Unless noted otherwise, we spend the better part of our time together on our feet. We provide at least one break during the tour, and we go at a leisurely pace. Most of our tours clock in at approximately 2 miles of walking.
Vegetarian – yes. Vegan – mostly. Please contact us in advance if you have any dietary concerns.
Yes we do! We can provide an audio system that includes an over-the-ear headphone. You can use your own headphone if you’d prefer, but be sure they have a 3.5mm plug. Please let us know no later than 8am on the day of your tour so your guide can have the right number of charged units for your group.
None of the information you provide – either booking directly through us, shared with us by a third party booking site, or collected on our waivers – is shared with anyone else. Your contact information is used to provide pre- or post-tour information only. Examples would include: tour reminders, link to our waivers, follow up with guests if they are a no-show, requests for tour feedback, promo code for additional tours.
